A NIGHT OUT FOR NATURE
& PUTTING FOR PARKS
In recent years, experts have seen a decrease in the amount of time our young people are spending in the outdoors and New Mexico State Parks is trying to reverse this trend by participating in a program called “No Child Left Inside”. The program makes it possible for children in classrooms throughout the state to visit parks and participate in outdoor activities. As a direct result of last year’s fund raising event, we were able to cover transportation costs taking 686 New Mexico students into our parks.
Funding for this program is very limited so the State Parks Foundation is holding a dinner, silent auction and golf tournament to raise money to assist New Mexico State Parks with this important program. A Night Out For Nature will be held on Friday, September 25 with Putting for Parks to follow on Saturday, September 26. Both events will be held at Ladera Golf Course in Albuquerque. The evening event will begin with a reception and cocktail hour at 6:00 pm followed by dinner at 7:00 pm. There will be entertainment, as well as a silent auction. Cost is $50 per person or $500 for a reserved table of ten.
ABOUT THE GOLF TOURNAMENT
Cost for the golf tournament is $100 per person or $400 for a team of four. The tournament will begin at 8:00 am (check in time begins at 7 a.m. burrito breakfast provided).
You or your company can join us in sponsoring this worthwhile event. There are several levels of sponsorship:
- Hole In One - For a contribution of $5,000, your company will be listed in the program as a major sponsor. You will receive two reserved tables for ten, space for a small exhibit about your company at the banquet, golf for eight on Saturday, sponsorship of a hole at the tournament, a link on the State Parks Foundation website for one year and your company banner posted in the banquet room.
- Eagle - For a contribution of $2,500, you will receive one reserved table for ten, golf for four on Saturday, sponsorship of a hole at the golf tournament, a link on the State Parks Foundation website for six months and your company name will be listed in the program as a major contributor.
- Birdie - For a contribution of $1,000, you will receive reserved seating for 10, a link on the State Parks Foundation website for three months and a listing in the program.
- Par – For a contribution of $250, you can sponsor a hole at the Saturday golf tournament. A placard with your company name will be displayed at the sponsored hole (we provide the placard).
- If you are unable to attend we invite you to donate an item to our silent auction or make a tax deductible donation.
PROCEEDS & PAYMENTS
All proceeds will go to the State Parks Foundation designated for the State Parks outdoor education program.
Credit cards are accepted. If paying by check, please make it payable to the New Mexico State Parks Foundation and mail it, with a copy of the RSVP Form, to P.O. Box 93096, Albuquerque, NM 87199-3096. Deadline for registration for the gala dinner and/or the golf tournament is Friday, August 21, 2009.
